The natural beauty of the area – its rugged coastline, sweeping sandy beaches, quiet coves and fabulous walks, is probably its main attraction. But there is much more to do and see. Padstow is a great example of a traditional Cornish-fishing port. The town is largely unspoilt, with a beautiful harbour and traditional shops including a home-made fudge shop, leather workshops, cafes and restaurants including the famous "Seafood Restaurant" run by Rick Stein. You will also find many old and friendly public houses, most of them serving pub food and ''real ale''.
Padstow is a heavenly jumble of houses which is a result of years of adaptation and change. The town is renowned for its strong sense of identity and there’s a feeling of a great community, which makes the town feel very much alive throughout the year. This is mainly due to the fact that Padstows is not a seaside town, but a working fishing port. A beautiful picturesque place to visit for a holiday. At the centre of all activity is the harbour. Brass band concerts are held regularly, visiting entertainers often perform on the quayside, fishing and pleasure trips depart from there and much social activity is conducted. Padstow is at its very busiest in July and August
